Quality Assurance

At Online Dentist UK, we are committed to delivering consistently high standards of clinical care, patient experience, and regulatory compliance. This Quality Assurance document outlines the measures we take to monitor, evaluate, and improve our services to ensure safety, trust, and professionalism at every step.

Our Objectives

We aim to:
• Provide safe, ethical, and patient-centred care in line with GDC guidance
• Ensure that all consultations are reviewed by GDC registered dentists
• Maintain clear clinical governance standards for remote prescribing
• Monitor service quality through regular audits and feedback
• Ensure data protection and confidentiality under UK GDPR

Clinical Governance and Oversight
All consultations are reviewed by experienced, GDC registered UK dentists.
Dentists follow evidence-based guidelines and appropriate remote prescribing protocols.
Prescriptions are only issued when clinically justified.
We regularly review prescribing trends to ensure consistency and safety.
Patients are supported in making informed decisions and giving valid consent.

Continuous Improvement
We collect and analyse patient feedback to identify areas for improvement.
Complaints are logged, reviewed, and used to enhance service delivery as outlined within our Complaints Policy.
Internal quality reviews are conducted quarterly to assess adherence to clinical standards and platform reliability.

Staff Training and Competency
All clinical staff are registered with the General Dental Council (GDC).
Dentists receive regular updates on clinical protocols and prescribing guidelines.
All GDC-registered dentists maintain records of their continuing professional development (CPD).
Team members handling personal data are trained in data protection and privacy standards.
All staff have access to current versions of internal policies and procedures.

Regulatory and Legal Compliance
We operate in full compliance with the General Dental Council (GDC) standards and UK GDPR.
We maintain accurate, encrypted clinical records for at least 8 years.
All marketing and clinical materials are reviewed for accuracy and compliance with the Committee of Advertising Practice (CAP) Code.

Review and Monitoring
We conduct regular audits of our clinical, safeguarding, information governance and prescribing procedures, including a formal review of:
• Antibiotic prescribing patterns
• Patient satisfaction and consultation outcomes
• Complaints and compliments received
• Data privacy and information governance compliance

This policy is reviewed annually or sooner if regulations or clinical guidelines. We maintain a culture of learning and accountability to uphold our standards.
